The Key To Authenticity

On February 12th, 2023, Luke Bacani joined in recording Kabelo Mokhatla’s debut album “The Key To Authenticity.” Released on August 16th, 2023, the album incapsulates Mokhatla’s deep South African heritage in his music.

In Mokhatla’s own words: “The project is based on the idea that when individuals are honest and transparent about their thoughts, feelings, and actions, they can form deeper connections with others, build trust, stay true to their art and themselves, and develop more meaningful relationships. The album is inspired by the belief that authenticity is a key factor in fostering genuine human relationships.”

Luke Bacani’s original composition “Who Are We Doing This For?” furthered Mokhatla’s vision, leading to the two working together in adding the song to the album. Inspired by classical music, Bacani used his simple yet memorable melody to create a choral-like movement to question the listener.
